Join us in the innovation of integration at Parry and apply to help develop the technologies of tomorrow while reaching new heights in your career today.\nAbout the Job\nYou will build and test Rust software for distributed mission systems under senior engineer guidance. You will develop defined components, investigate defects and learn systems programming through code reviews and integration work. You will report to a functional software engineering manager, with technical direction from the Chief Engineer.\nThe target start is February/March 2027.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nImplement defined Rust components and fixes from agreed requirements with guidance from senior engineers.\nWrite unit and integration tests for expected behavior, error handling and boundary conditions.\nDebug software issues using logs, tests and development tools. Document steps to reproduce defects.\nBuild simple interfaces, message handling and telemetry features using established team designs.\nUse Cargo, Git and automated checks to build, test and submit changes for review.\nParticipate in code reviews and apply feedback on correctness, readability and memory safety.\nSupport laboratory integration and test activities with software, systems and security engineers.\nMaintain setup instructions and component documentation. Communicate progress and raise technical blockers early.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field, or equivalent training and practical experience.\nHands-on programming experience through coursework, internships, personal projects or employment. Prior full-time engineering experience is not required.\nWorking knowledge of Rust ownership, borrowing, basic types and error handling, plus Cargo build and test workflows.\nUnderstanding of basic data structures, functions and software testing. Ability to explain and debug your own code.\nFamiliarity with Linux development tools and Git version control.\nAbility to work from defined requirements, ask focused questions and incorporate code-review feedback.\nU.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance if required. An active clearance is not required at hire.\nPreferred Qualifications\nRust coursework, internship work, open-source contributions or a personal project with automated tests.\nExposure to network programming, asynchronous code or concurrency.\nExperience with C/C++, Python, embedded devices or hardware interfaces.\nFamiliarity with continuous integration, distributed systems or positioning, navigation and timing (PNT).\nWhy Join Parry Labs?\nAt Parry Labs, we foster a culture of curiosity and collaboration.
