Join us in the innovation of integration at Parry and apply to help develop the technologies of tomorrow while reaching new heights in your career today.\nAbout the Job\nWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join the Parry Labs team in the Detroit metro area. In this role, you will support configuration and integration of Board Support Packages (BSP), Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Hypervisors, container orchestration, and middleware across a range of systems and networks. You will also educate both customers and internal engineering teams to ensure consistent, secure, and modern practices.\nThis position requires full-time, on-site support at a customer location in Sterling Heights, MI. Relocation assistance is available with a two-year commitment.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nDesign and implement microservices that align to MOSA tenets\nArchitect and document microservice interfaces and data flows in accordance with platform-specific reference architectures\nAssist with software requirements, create design artifacts, develop & document code, and create software unit tests & system tests. \nDevelop software interfaces and use functional analysis and Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes to develop interface control documentation. \nCollaborate with both internal and external teams (developers, system integrators, system testers, and system requirements engineers) to support delivery of quality design products. \nIncorporate cross-IPT feedback to support the development and approval of the products. \nProduce software artifacts (e.g., software development plan, software design document, software version description, interface control document and configuration management plan). \nOther duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in computer science engineering, or related STEM field. Will consider years of related experience in lieu of degree. \n5+ years of software engineering or software development experience.\nUS Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.\nExcellent coding skills with knowledge in C, C++, Java and Python. Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and Programming.\nKnowledge in an Agile development process and continuous integration for company projects.\nDerive software requirements, develop use cases and user stories.\nAssist with ROMs on software components for proposals.\nExperience with client server architectures and message patterns.\nExperience debugging TCP and UDP messaging interfaces.\nExperience developing software for Linux and RTOS environments.\nExperience designing, implementing, and testing DO-178B/C software.\nPreferred Qualifications\n7+ years of software engineering or software development experience.\nExperience with Agile Development methodologies.\nExperience with JIRA or similar Agile development tool.\nExperience developing microservices.\nExperience developing software for a FACE environment.\nKnowledge of software middleware's (e.g., JMS, DDS, ZeroMQ, and Kafka)\nKnowledge of embedded software design\nWhy Join Parry Labs?\nAt Parry Labs, we foster a culture of curiosity and collaboration.
