In this role, you will complete a variety of advanced clerical tasks within an accounting section of the Finance Department.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nReceives accounting information from internal or external sources including: other Finance Department sections, other departments or divisions, other Parsons companies, suppliers, clients, etc.\n\nAudits invoices for appropriate support documentation.\n\nMatches information and documentation with accounting records; verifies accounts and subjobs charged for accuracy and legitimacy.\n\nProcesses financial records. Prepares journals, registers, ledgers, budgets, tax reports, and client invoices.\n\nMaintains standard accounting and financial records.\n\nInputs information into a computerized accounting system.\n\nPrepares information for use by other departments, clients, and/or suppliers.\n\nPerforms financial reconciliations and/or proofs.\n\nAnswers inquiries and prepares standard analyses.\n\nMaintains computerized databases for tracking and informational purposes.\n\nProvides guidance to lower level Accounting support personnel.\n\nPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.\n\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\n Associate's or equivalent degree in Accounting, Economics, Business (or equivalent) and related work experience preferred, or High School diploma and 5+ years relevant experience within an accounting unit.\n\nBasic PC skills including, but not limited to, MS Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel.\n\nMust have good communications skills, be able to work as part of a team\n\nPossess a working knowledge of Accounting processes.\n\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nExperience with Cost Point, Concur and Ariba\n\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Corporate team.For over 80 years, Parsons Corporation, has shaped the future of the defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure markets.
