In this role you will be part of a talented and mission oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers and Contract staff who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get missile defense capability out to the Fleet. You will also be part of a team of some of the best and brightest Engineers and scientists our country has to offer.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nSystems Engineering: Actively participate in Integration Exchanges to resolve design and interface challenges for interdependent capabilities.\n\nWeapon System Development: Provide technical expertise for the development and upgrading of interceptors, radar systems, and launcher systems.\n\nSystem of Systems Integration: Support the integration of various components into a cohesive and effective system-of-systems.\n\nRisk Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate program risks in collaboration with the program office and other stakeholders.\n\nSchedule Development: Assist in the development and maintenance of an integrated master schedule.\n\nTest and Evaluation: Support all phases of testing, from planning and preparation to execution and analysis.\n\nProgram Office Support: Directly support the Aegis-Based Defense (ABMD) Software Development Program Manager Engineer, In-service Readiness Officer Engineer, and all ABMD Baseline Managers.\n\nRequirements Management: Perform deep analysis to document and justify requirements for Aegis Sea-Based and Aegis Shore Facility Weapon Systems, ensuring a clear and traceable rationale for all subsystem functions.\n\nProcess and Artifact Authority: Implement assessment processes and approve key configuration-managed artifacts, including the Requirements Management Plan, Systems Engineering Plan, and assessments of lower-level specification traces (A-level to Element-specifications and Contract Deliverables).\n\nTechnical Issue Resolution: Drive the resolution of technical uncertainties by tracking and resolving Test Observation Reports (TORs), Proposed Revisions (PRs), and Software Change Reports (SWCRs). Manage system deviations through Request for Deviation or Waiver (RDW), Ballistic Missile Defense System Deficiency Reports (BDRs), and participation in the Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).\n\nTool & Documentation Proficiency: Leverage extensive documentation and digital tools, including monthly DOORS / Digital Model Reviews, Fleet Support Operation Center (FSOC), and Confluence.\n\nReporting and Communication: Produce and review various meeting minutes, briefs, Element Unique Memos, Element Unique Requirements Attachments, a Threat Prioritization List, and Executive Summaries to ensure clear communication and program alignment.\n\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nUS Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance\n\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline specifically related to area of specialty and 10+ years of related professional experience\n\nAdvanced degree may be preferred at this level\n\nMastery of MS Office suite and familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence or Teams\n\nAegis Weapon System Experience\n\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nMaster's Degree in STEM and 12+ years of experience\n\nActive TS/SCI Clearance\n\nPrior experience with Aegis Weapons Systems Baselines\n\nExperience with Missile Systems Engineering\n\nTechnical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.\n\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nAn active Secret security clearance is required for this position.This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
