Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nARE Materials Abu Dhabi, UAE\nParsons is looking for a talented ARE Materials to join our site team in Abu Dhabi\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nReview and approve (make recommendation for approval) of all submitted materials by the contractor.\nSupervise and participate in sampling, monitor/ witness testing, recordkeeping, and reporting in accordance with the applicable procedures and directives, including Materials Testing Manual, AASHTO Standard Methods of Sampling and Testing, Construction Supervision Manual, Project Plans and Specifications, Construction Supervision Directives.\nAnalyze the test results in a timely manner and recommend action and report any failing or \"borderline\" test results immediately to the Resident Engineer.\nFollow up and verify implementation of corrective actions and document the remedial action taken to meet specifications.\nCoordinate with the Contractor on work priorities and schedules.\nEnsure inspection and checking of all delivered materials to site for conformance with the approved source or supplier.to the project requirements and approval.\nMaintain records of test results and all taken corrective actions.\nMonitor the frequency and number of tests required for every operation and ensure compliance of used materials with the project’s specifications.\nTrack and review the site testing and certificates of compliance.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nAt least a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized University.\n10 - 15 years of relevant work experience. demonstrable experience in Materials and Quality Control on major road, highway, bridges.\nProven experience with Infrastructure projects and steel structures and steel bridges.\nWhat desired Skills You'll Bring:\nEmphasis on Quality Assurance Specifications and Quality Control.\nShould be able to review and justify the material submissions analyze laboratory and technical reports, carry out acceptance sampling plans, testing and quality measures, ensuring the compliance with the project’s Specifications.\nMust have a sound knowledge about contractual relationships.\nMust be computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.\nMust be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.\nWe truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
