In this role, you will support internal project cost control activities by assisting with budgets and forecasts, tracking project costs, updating internal systems, and preparing reports for project managers and project teams.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nSupport Project Control Engineers, Senior Project Control Engineers, and Project Controls Managers with project budgets and forecasts.\nTrack labor, subconsultant, and other project-related costs, including actuals, commitments, expenditures, and forecast values.\nCollect, organize, verify, and reconcile cost information from project managers, project teams, design discipline leads, timesheets, and internal systems.\nUpdate project controls, accounting, cost management, and reporting systems.\nPrepare periodic cost reports, summaries, dashboards, spreadsheets, management reports, and project review material and presentations.\nSupport cost variance analysis and forecast comparisons.\nPerform basic data-quality, arithmetic, and reconciliation checks.\nIdentify and escalate incomplete, inconsistent, or unusual cost information.\nMaintain project cost control files, logs, and supporting documentation.\nPerform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.\n2+ years of experience in project cost control, project controls, cost engineering, or a related project environment.\nIntermediate or Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and charts.\nExperience supporting budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, internal cost reporting, or project controls system updates.\nBasic understanding of project budgets, forecasts, commitments, actual costs, labor costs, and cost reports.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.\nStrong attention to detail, organization, communication, and data-reconciliation skills.\nAbility to follow established procedures, meet reporting deadlines, and work effectively with project managers, project teams, design discipline leads, and Project Controls personnel.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nExperience using project controls, ERP, accounting, cost management, or internal reporting systems.\nExperience supporting engineering design, construction management, construction supervision, or PMC projects.\nExperience preparing project cost summaries, dashboards, spreadsheets, and management reports.\nFamiliarity with project cost structures, reporting codes, and internal budgeting processes.\nFamiliarity with cost variance analysis, forecast comparisons, timesheet data, labor costs, expenses, or project accounting information.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
