Would you enjoy working closely with other BIM team members and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design. Parsons is now hiring a BIM Engineer (Bridge and Tunnel Structures) for our rapidly expanding portfolio of projects. Parsons extensive experience in this field combined with your BIM knowledge and technical skills will propel your career forward.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nSupport the BIM Coordinator and Project Delivery Team(s) in day-to-day BIM implementation activities.\nDevelop 3D/2D dimensional models required for drawing preparation, clash reporting and presentation aligned with the project LOD requirements and modeling standards.\nExtract 3D models for clash analysis, schedule review and QS.\nEnsure coordination of all Model interfaces with designers and engineers of other disciplines.\nEnsure all Models, drawings and deliverables are checked to comply with project and company quality standards and BIM requirements.\nPrepare the engineering drawings from the model that comprises of basic arrangements, layouts, profiles, sections, etc.\nDevelop and extract 2D geometry from the models for internal reviews and coordination meetings.\nEnsure Project Information Models (PIM’s) are delivered in accordance with the agreed TIDP, MIDP and CDE protocol. \nPrepare BIM package submissions in accordance with project standards and requirements.\nConduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs.\nPrepare models and reports for constructability analysis.\nCoordinate work with the lead technical engineer, including taking responsibility for timely completion of deliverables.\nKEY ELEMENTS:\nRevit 3D Modeling and 3D Model-Based workflows\nRevit Families and Design libraries\nModeling Standards\nNaming convention\nExtracting cut sheets\nModeling templates\nBritish Standards BS/PAS Series (1192)\nInternational Organization for Standardization (19650)\nCommon Data Environment\nProject Information Model Delivery and Digital Delivery methods\nQuality Assurance Compliance and Validation\nCollaboration, Coordination and Clash/Clearance Detection\nQuantity Take Off / Scheduling\nAsset Information Model Delivery, COBie, O&M and Asset Tagging\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Architectural Engineering from an accredited institution.\nMinimum 5+ years of Revit experience within depth working knowledge of current Revit versions; Proficient in CAD design 2D/3D (AutoCAD and Revit).\nAble to demonstrate (skill assessment) as well as set up new Revit project files for the team; Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and multitasking ability; Produce Revit Families according to project requirements.\nAble to maintain standards and library of Revit families/objects; Able to run clash detection in Revit.\nStrong computer skills; Experience of producing working drawings in Revit.\nExpert knowledge of Revit including use of parametric, generation of Bill of Material, assemblies, sub-assemblies, creation of families, etc. Advanced in creation of a federated model using Revit Links, creating/working with Revit Work sets and professional using of shared coordinates.\nProficient in a range of BIM Authoring, Scripting, Design Review, Coordination, Simulations and Collaboration Platforms: Essentials: (Revit Structure, Dynamo & AutoCAD).\nPreferable: Navisworks, ACC, ProjectWise, Synchro, Bluebeam Studio, Autodesk Inventor professional, Sketchup, 3D Max). \n\n Concrete and Steel Bridge and tunnel projects experience is required.\nKnowledge of BIM codes and Standards (ISO19650, PAS1192-2, BS1192) as well as knowledge of General BIM Model requirements (i.e., LOD, Naming convention, parametric modeling, etc.)\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nPossess Excellent Oral Communication Skills with an ability to form effective relationships with Project Delivery Team, Client and Contractor under Time Pressure.\nPossess the ability to Develop Analytical Reports and Presentations.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
