Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is seeking a Bridge Project Engineer to join our actively growing team in Indianapolis supporting major transportation infrastructure projects throughout the Midwest!\nThis role will provide you with the unique opportunity to join a highly-skilled, collaborative, and flexible, team which will allow you to expand in your technical and professional expertise on major projects that will have a tangible impact on the infrastructure in your very own community!\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nResponsible for project deliverables including transportation design, plans, specifications, and estimates.\nDrive quality management procedures on team\nEnsures that Parsons’ safety procedures are in effect\nMentors and leads junior staff and engineers on bridge and structure projects\nStrives to obtain maximum INDOT performance scores for scope, schedule, budget, and quality\nIdentifies the needs to develop a staffing plan for projects and pursuits including identifying needs for new hires\nProvide support to business development efforts through both technical expertise and business acumen\nIdentifies strategic potential candidates to hire and lead recruiting efforts for these key Team hires.\nIdentifies and coordinates training needs and requests for their staff.\nDevelops career development plans with all direct reports.\nDevelops workforce forecasting to identify peaks and valleys of staffing needs \n What Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.\n10+ years of progressive bridge design and project engineering experience, preferably on Indiana State and regional transportation projects.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana (or ability to obtain)\nDemonstrated experience delivering multi-span steel and concrete bridge projects (new design and/or rehabilitation), including:\nProven experience managing bridge design and design-build projects for state DOTs or similar transportation agencies.\nStrong familiarity with relevant state DOT standards, manuals, and standard sheets (and/or other Indiana transportation agency standards).\nProficiency with bridge and structural design software such as:MicroStation (required, or strong equivalent with ability to transition quickly)\nLEAP Bridge (Conspan, RC Pier) or similar\nMDX / Merlin Dash, or equivalent girder design software\nFinite element analysis tools (e.g., LARSA, SAP2000, STAAD, CSI products, or similar).\n\nDesired Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree in Structural Engineering.\nExperience with INDOT, or other Indiana-area transportation agencies.\nExperience with OpenBridge Designer, 3D modeling, or BIM for bridges.\nProven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, interface directly with clients, and contribute to business development and proposal efforts.\n\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
