Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cloud Engineer to join our team!\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nDesign, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.\nManage and optimize cloud services, including compute, networking, storage, databases, identity, and monitoring.\nDevelop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, or CloudFormation.\nBuild and improve CI/CD pipelines to support safe, repeatable, and efficient software delivery.\nImplement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident-response practices.\nImprove system reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.\nEstablish and maintain cloud security best practices, including access controls, encryption, secrets management, and network security.\nPartner with engineering teams to improve application deployment and operational readiness.\nParticipate in on-call rotations and production incident response, as applicable.\nDocument infrastructure, operating procedures, architecture decisions, and troubleshooting guides.\nEvaluate new technologies and recommend solutions that support the contracts’s technical and business goals.\nRequired Qualifications:\nMinimum of 10 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.\nBachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree is acceptable)\nTS/SCI w/ Poly is required\nProfessional experience with at least one major cloud provider, such as: Amazon Web ServicesMicrosoft AzureGoogle Cloud Platform\nStrong experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.\nExperience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.\nProficiency with Linux administration, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting.\nExperience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nFamiliarity with monitoring and observability tools.\nUnderstanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and secure infrastructure design.\nExperience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, Go, or JavaScript.\nStrong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience designing highly available and fault-tolerant systems.\nExperience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS or EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and Route 53.\nExperience with Kubernetes administration and deployment workflows.\nFamiliarity with GitOps tools and practices.\nExperience implementing cloud cost-management and optimization strategies.\nExperience with compliance frameworks or regulated environments.\nRelevant certifications, such as: AWS Certified Solutions ArchitectAWS Certified DevOps EngineerCertified Kubernetes AdministratorAzure or Google Cloud professional certifications\nExperience working in a rapidly changing environment.\n\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nAn active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
