Job Description:\nParsons is seeking Construction Managers with a desire to create innovative, practical solutions across projects that support our PG&E Infrastructure division. In this role, you will be responsible for the construction management execution and commercial performance of assigned projects to ensure project goals and objectives are achieved successfully.\nYou will help plan and define program goals, develop methods to accomplish them, and build a strong understanding of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. Candidates are required to be located within 60 miles of these locations - any business travel expenses incurred will be reimbursed, including mileage..\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nThe Construction Manager will work on behalf of Parsons and the client with responsibilities including:\nAct as Parsons’ representative with the client, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders during project execution.\nRepresent the client in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings, as required.\nOversee the development and implementation of the following project documents:Construction Management Plan\nSite-Specific Health and Safety Plan\nQuality Assurance/Quality Control Plan\nOther project documentation as required\n\nSupervise inspection staff on assigned projects and provide oversight of field inspection activities.\nPrepare purchase requisitions and procure items necessary for field office operations.\nEstablish procedures for the administration of all field vehicles and equipment, including maintenance of status logs and required reports.\nSupervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract requirements, schedule, safety, and quality expectations.\nCoordinate the preparation of requisitions, subcontract scopes of work, amendments, and task orders.\nReview and approve subcontractor safety plans and quality control plans.\nEnsure subcontract files are maintained with current insurance certificates, correspondence, and required documentation.\nMonitor subcontractor expenses against budget and prepare draft amendments when necessary.\nEnsure the prime contract file remains current with insurance certificates and correspondence.\nPrepare and negotiate scope changes with the client and key subcontractors.\nDevelop and implement action plans to address potential cost overruns, schedule delays, and significant scope changes, while advising the client and company management of impacts.\nMaintain current and timely change orders and ensure accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle.\nSupervise the preparation of the client’s monthly construction progress report and contract status report.\nPrepare work breakdown structures, budgets, and forecasts.\nPrepare monthly safety self-assessments.\nOversee development of monthly Parsons invoices and review for accuracy.\nReview and approve subcontractor invoices.\nPrepare quarterly construction management reports and coordinate associated meetings.\nEstablish and manage the QA/QC Plan, including development of inspection and test plans.\nSupervise the setup and accreditation of the onsite materials testing laboratory, when required.\nEstablish project safety and emergency response procedures.\nConduct weekly construction site inspections with the contractor’s safety representative to ensure compliance with safety standards.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nBachelor's Degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience), and typically 15+ years of experience in field construction is required. Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.\nPrior experience overseeing and managing the construction of major capital improvement projects.\nStrong knowledge of construction management practices, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and contract administration.\nExperience managing subcontractors, change orders, procurement activities, and field operations.\nWorking knowledge of safety regulations, QA/QC procedures, and construction inspection practices.\nExcellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused, and team-oriented environment.\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
