Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Manager - Commercial Zone to join our team! The Construction Manager (Commercial) will oversee planning, coordination, and execution of commercial works (office, retail, F&B, leisure, podiums, etc.) within a large mixed-use development project. Operating in a PMC capacity, this role is responsible for managing multiple contractors, ensuring compliance with design intent, codes, contracts, safety, quality, time, and cost objectives on behalf of the client.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nReview and provide input on master construction schedules, phasing plans, and milestones for commercial components.\nCoordinate with design consultants (architectural, structural, MEP, façade, interiors) to ensure construction feasibility and completeness of drawings/specifications.\nAssist in constructability reviews, value engineering options, and buildability assessments.\nIdentify construction risks and develop mitigation plans for commercial zones (e.g., retail mall, offices, podium areas).\nLead day-to-day site management of commercial blocks, coordinating with main contractor, specialized subcontractors, and suppliers.\nMonitor construction progress against approved baseline programme and report variances.\nChair and document regular site coordination meetings:\nEnsure construction is in line with approved drawings, specifications, and client standards.\nCoordinate logistics for commercial areas (access, material delivery, storage, vertical transportation, hoisting).\nImplement and oversee QA/QC procedures for all commercial works.\nReview and approve method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and shop drawings.\nCoordinate inspections with third-party testing agencies and statutory authorities, as required.\nManage snagging, de-snagging, and punch list closure for commercial areas.\nSupport the client and QS team in monitoring budgets and cost control for commercial packages.\nReview and recommend contractor interim payment applications, Variation orders, Claims related to time and cost.\nVerify quantities on site and changes arising from design modifications or site conditions.\nAssist in negotiation of commercial terms, settlement of claims, and final account closure.\nEnsure adherence to contract conditions, deliverables, and performance obligations.\nEnforce strict compliance with HSE policies, statutory safety regulations, and project-specific safety plans.\nConduct and/or participate in safety audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.\nPromote a safety culture on site, especially in high-risk commercial activities (façade works, high-rise, heavy MEP equipment, public areas).\nAct as the primary PMC interface between client, consultants, and contractors for commercial works.\nCoordinate and Manage interfaces between project parties.\nManage relationships with tenants’ representative teams during pre-fit-out and fit-out phases.\nPrepare and present progress reports, dashboards, and risk updates to client leadership.\nOversee testing and commissioning of building systems serving commercial areas.\nCoordinate integrated testing of systems across mixed-use zones (commercial, retail, podium, parking).\nEnsure documentation completeness: As-built drawings, Operation & Maintenance manuals, Test certificates, warranties, and statutory approvals.\nLead snagging, pre-handover inspections, and progressive handover of commercial spaces to client/tenants.\nProtect client interests by acting as an independent advisor and monitor of contractor performance.\nEnsure that decisions are aligned with client’s project objectives on quality, cost, schedule, and risk.\nProvide recommendations on contractor compliance, performance ratings, and corrective actions.\nSupport the development of project execution plans and management procedures.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.\nTypically 18 years of experience in construction management, with at least years on large mixed-use/commercial real estate projects.\nProven experience working in a PMC environment or with leading project management firms.\nStrong knowledge of:Building construction techniques (RC, steel, façade).\nCommercial interiors and retail fit-out coordination.\nMEP systems relevant to commercial developments.\n\nFamiliarity with local building regulations, fire codes, and authority approval processes.\nStrong leadership and team management skills on multidisciplinary, multi-contractor sites.\nExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.\nHigh level of technical problem-solving and decision-making.\nAbility to manage multiple work fronts and prioritize under time and cost constraints.\nStrong reporting and documentation skills with attention to detail.\nCommitment to safety, quality, and ethical project delivery.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
