Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nJob Posting\nParsons is now hiring aProgramConstruction Manager who can lead a construction management and inspection team in support of water/wastewater projects in South Florida.\nWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:\nActs as the representative of Parsons with the client, subcontractors and suppliers during the project execution.\n\nRepresents the client in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings.\n\nOversees establishment of the Construction Management Plan, Site Specific Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.\n\nInspection - The selected candidate will have experience in and will be expected to supervise inspectors on assigned projects.\n\nSupervise the work of subconsultants.\n\nCoordinates the drafting of requisitions, subconsultant scopes of work, amendments, and task orders.\n\nReview and approve subcontractor safety plans and quality control plans.\n\nPrepares and negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors.\n\nWorks to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work; advises the client and company management of any such changes.\n\nThe Construction Manager is specifically responsible for maintaining current and timely change orders.\n\nCost Engineering - Supervise the preparation of the client's monthly construction progress report and the client's contract status report.\n\nPrepare monthly safety self assessment.\n\nPrepare quarterly construction management reports and coordinate meetings.\n\nQuality - Establish the QA/QC Plan including development of the inspection & test plan.\n\nSupervise setup and accreditation of the onsite materials testing laboratory.\n\nSafety - Establish safety and emergency procedures. Inspect the construction site weekly with the contractor's safety representative.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a construction related field\n\na minimum of10+ years of construction management experience with related projects\n\nPrior experience in overseeing and managing the construction of major capital improvement projects\n\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nPrevious experience in the construction of large water and wastewater treatment and industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.\n\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
