Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Contract Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage and administer contracts in support of the FIDIC Engineer across the Master Development Unit Projects portfolio.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nManage the administration of FIDIC-based contracts, including the Red, Yellow and Silver Books, together with Client-specific conditions.\nSupport the implementation of contract management procedures, governance requirements and reporting standards across the portfolio.\nProvide contractual advice and support to the Client, FIDIC Engineer, Delivery Partner and project teams.\nAdminister contracts throughout their lifecycle, including contract execution, notices, instructions, variations, amendments and close-out.\nReview and prepare contractual correspondence, notices, instructions, determinations, recommendations and certifications.\nMonitor Employer and Contractor obligations and maintain records of compliance, deliverables and key contractual dates.\nAdminister and evaluate variations, claims, payments, extensions of time and final accounts.\nIdentify, assess and support the negotiation and resolution of Contractor claims and Employer entitlements.\nCoordinate the preparation of contractual position papers, entitlement assessments, delay analyses and supporting documentation.\nMaintain contract registers, claims logs, variation logs, risk registers and other contract management records.\nMonitor contractual and commercial risks and escalate potential issues to the Senior Contracts Manager and project leadership.\nWork closely with Project Controls, Commercial, Cost and Planning teams to align schedule, cost, risk and change information with contractual requirements.\nSupport the assessment of extensions of time, acceleration, delay, disruption, liquidated damages and other schedule-related contractual matters.\nReview payment applications, progress valuations and supporting records to ensure compliance with contract requirements.\nSupport controls to prevent overpayment, unsupported claims and unauthorized commitments.\nMaintain effective communication with the Client, Contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders on contractual and commercial matters.\nPrepare regular contract management reports, dashboards and updates for project and portfolio reviews.\nParticipate in progress meetings, commercial reviews, governance meetings and claims discussions.\nSupport contract close-out, including final accounts, release of retention, warranties, guarantees and outstanding claims.\nContribute to the development of contract management procedures, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.\nProvide guidance and support to Contract Administrators and junior contracts personnel.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.\nMinimum 10 years of progressive experience in contract administration, contracts management or commercial management.\nExperience working on major infrastructure, mixed-use development or large-scale construction programs.\nStrong experience administering FIDIC-based contracts within an Engineer, PMC, Delivery Partner, contractor or consultancy environment.\nGood knowledge of FIDIC contract forms, conditions of contract and bespoke amendments.\nProven experience managing variations, claims, extensions of time, payment applications and final accounts.\nWorking knowledge of delay analysis, disruption, quantum assessment and contractual entitlement.\nGood understanding of contract administration, procurement, commercial management and financial controls.\nFamiliarity with project controls, including schedule, cost, risk and change management.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear contractual correspondence and reports.\nEffective negotiation, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams and external stakeholders.\nStrong attention to detail, organization and record-keeping skills.\nHigh standards of integrity, confidentiality and professional judgement.\nProficiency in contract management systems, Microsoft Office and reporting tools.\nMembership of a relevant professional body, such as RICS, CIArb, CIOB or an equivalent organization, is desirable.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.\nWe truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
