In this role you will get to work with project, engineering, operations and commercial teams to prepare reliable cost information, monitor financial performance and support informed decision-making.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nPrepare, review and update cost estimates, budgets and cost plans using available drawings, specifications, scope documents, quantity information and market data.\nUndertake quantity take-offs and measurement of building, civil, MEP and FM-related works, as applicable to the assignment.\nDevelop pricing build-ups, unit rates and supporting cost breakdowns for labour, materials, plant, subcontract services, preliminaries and other project requirements.\nSupport tendering and procurement activities, including preparation or review of Bills of Quantities, pricing schedules, tender returns and commercial comparisons.\nMonitor actual and forecast expenditure against approved budgets and identify cost trends, variances, risks and opportunities.\nPrepare periodic cost reports, cash-flow forecasts, commitment records and estimate-at-completion updates for management review.\nAssess contractors and suppliers quotations, payment applications, variations, change requests and final account information, as required.\nMaintain auditable cost records, estimate back-up, assumptions, exclusions, source data and change history.\nCoordinate with engineering, project management, procurement, finance, operations and commercial teams to confirm scope, quantities, programme inputs and cost impacts.\nSupport value engineering, benchmarking and cost optimization exercises while maintaining the required scope, quality, safety and operational performance.\nAssist in the preparation of commercial correspondence, cost recommendations and management presentations.\nPerform other responsibilities associated with the position, as appropriate.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Cost Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.\nMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in cost engineering, estimating, quantity surveying or cost management within building services or facilities management sectors.\nDemonstrable experience preparing cost estimates, quantity take-offs, rate build-ups, budgets, forecasts and cost reports.\nWorking knowledge of measurement, Bills of Quantities, tender documentation, contractor pricing, variations and payment assessment.\nUnderstanding of UAE construction and FM market rates, procurement practices and supply-chain conditions.\nAbility to interpret drawings, specifications, scopes of work and technical information and translate them into clear cost outputs.\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard Microsoft Office applications.\nGood analytical, numerical, organizational and report-writing skills, with close attention to accuracy and supporting records.\nFluent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate cost information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n What Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nExperience in the building facilities management industry, including hard FM, MEP maintenance, lifecycle replacement, planned and reactive maintenance, or refurbishment works.\nUnderstanding of UAE construction and FM market rates, procurement practices and supply-chain conditions.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.\nWe truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
