Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cybersecurity Specialist (Senior) to join our team!\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nManage cybersecurity operations for project information systems and business applications, including account administration, eDiscovery, incident response, policy compliance, and security technology implementation.\nAct as the primary technical point of contact with vendors and suppliers to develop cybersecurity solutions and provide recommendations to project management.\nDevelop, maintain, and audit the technical and analytical aspects of cybersecurity systems and controls.\nMaintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of workstations, servers, applications, and networks through effective account management, system hardening, and software updates.\nSupport the secure operation of security technologies and ensure the protection of sensitive information through the application of cybersecurity best practices and cryptographic principles.\nIdentify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities that may impact corporate or client information assets.\nProvide cybersecurity support, guidance, training, and incident recovery assistance to end users and project teams.\nLead and support investigations related to cybersecurity incidents and contribute to cybersecurity improvement initiatives.\nConduct vulnerability assessments and oversee the implementation of security controls and protective measures.\nServe as a cybersecurity representative on project teams, technical reviews, and internal committees.\nProvide oversight and guidance to infrastructure and client/server teams on cybersecurity requirements, standards, and procedures.\nMonitor cybersecurity risks and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.\nSupport compliance with project, client, and regulatory cybersecurity requirements.\nWhat Required Skills You’ll Bring:\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.\nMinimum 15 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT infrastructure, or related technology environments.\nStrong experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and security administration.\nKnowledge of network technologies, including MPLS, VPN, and wireless networking.\nStrong understanding of IT security principles, including firewall technologies, access control, authentication, and digital signatures.\nExperience with domain structures, identity management, and user authentication systems.\nFamiliarity with NIST SP 800-53 and related cybersecurity frameworks and standards.\nAbility to evaluate existing security controls and develop remediation plans to address identified risks and vulnerabilities.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to investigate security incidents and recommend effective solutions.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, project stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.\nWhat Desired Skills You’ll Bring:\nCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.\nExperience supporting large-scale infrastructure, transportation, rail, or government projects.\nKnowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance practices.\nExperience with cybersecurity technologies, security monitoring tools, and enterprise security solutions.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
