In this role you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all design interfaces across disciplines for a major railway project. The role ensures seamless integration between infrastructure, rail systems, stations, and operational environments, supporting the delivery of a fully coordinated, efficient, and buildable design in line with project objectives and standards.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nDevelop and implement the Interface Management Plan and Design Integration Strategy\n\nIdentify, define, and manage all project interfaces across civil, structural, rail systems, stations, and operational disciplines\n\nEstablish and maintain the interface register, ensuring all interfaces are tracked, coordinated, and resolved\n\nCoordinate multidisciplinary design teams to ensure fully integrated and consistent design outputs\n\nEnsure effective integration between infrastructure, stations, rail systems, and operational environments, including airport interfaces (landside/terminal integration)\n\nManage and coordinate interfaces with airport systems, including Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), passenger flow, terminal access, and intermodal connections\n\nFacilitate interface workshops and coordination meetings with project teams, contractors, airport stakeholders, and authorities\n\nManage interface agreements, responsibilities, and deliverables between all parties, including airport operators and specialist system providers\n\nEnsure alignment of design outputs with project requirements, programme, and budget\n\nSupport Systems Engineering processes, including requirements flow-down and interface definition\n\nCoordinate with Configuration and Requirements teams to maintain interface traceability\n\nIdentify and manage interface risks, including those related to airport operations and BHS integration, and implement mitigation strategies\n\nLead design reviews to ensure all interfaces, including airport and BHS systems, are properly addressed and resolved\n\nCoordinate with authorities, operators, and external stakeholders to ensure approvals and alignment\n\nMonitor design progress and ensure timely resolution of interface issues\n\nSupport construction and delivery teams by ensuring clarity of interfaces during implementation\n\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from a recognized university. Professional certification or membership in a relevant institute is an advantage\n\n10 years of relevant experience in rail projects and/or rail operations (GCC or international experience preferred)\n\nProven experience in design integration and interface management on large-scale rail or infrastructure projects\n\nStrong experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and complex system interfaces\n\nGood understanding of rail systems, civil infrastructure, stations, and operational interfaces\n\nExperience in airport integration projects, including coordination with terminal operations and intermodal transport systems\n\nExposure to Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) and their interface with rail and station infrastructure is an advantage\n\nExperience in Systems Engineering processes and interface management methodologies\n\nExperience managing interface registers, coordination processes, and stakeholder alignment\n\nStrong knowledge of design development stages and tender documentation\n\nExcellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills\n\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills\n\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nEffective in a multi-organizational environment, developing relationships that align with the client's proactive, collaborative culture\n\nAble to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of support function problems.\n\nAbility to interface with all levels with project team, client, and others\n\nCapable of responding effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.\n\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
