The TAP Lab is the U.S. Space Force’s premier remote sensing application development laboratory, with extensive computer and network infrastructure and physical facilities that provide a complete computing environment across multiple levels of data classification. Learn more at boulderlab.org.\nThis position is onsite only, with expected working hours of Monday through Friday, 0900-1500.\nWhat You Will Be Doing:\nEstablish and maintain DevSecOps environments used by software and systems engineering teams to develop and deploy applications and services.\nConfigure and manage the suite of applications that enable pipelines and workflows within DevSecOps environments.\nAnalyze and maintain system performance, including server stress, capacity, and efficient resource utilization.\nCollaborate with software developers and systems engineers to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize applications and pipelines.\nDeploy, configure, and maintain multiple Kubernetes clusters.\nCoordinate tasks and technical activities between development and operations teams.\nResearch, design, implement, and manage software programs and supporting infrastructure.\nTest and evaluate new software capabilities and technologies.\nAssist with onboarding new development teams to DevSecOps environments and processes.\nIdentify areas for modification in existing programs and develop, test, and implement those modifications.\nManage the deployment, maintenance, configuration, and upgrade processes for software applications and supporting services.\nCollaborate closely with developers, UX designers, business analysts, and systems analysts.\nAutomate security controls and integrate security practices throughout the software development lifecycle.\nDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.\nConfigure and support infrastructure-as-code and GitOps-based deployment practices.\nWork with tools and technologies such as GitLab, Docker, Java, Python, Bash, YAML, Kubernetes, Flux, Rancher, Grafana, and Helm.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nActive Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance if required.\nBachelor’s degree, with additional years of experience able to count in lieu of a degree\n10+ years of relevant experience, with additional education, training, and certifications able to count towards total years of experience. \nProficiency in at least one programming language.\nExperience with Unix/Linux scripting, including Bash, tcsh, or ksh.\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and the full software development lifecycle.\nFamiliarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.\nExperience with orchestration, provisioning, and containerization technologies.\nExperience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools and practices, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.\nExperience using software engineering and collaboration tools, such as Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with software development, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams.\nWhat Desired Skills You Might Bring:\nExperience with infrastructure as code, particularly Terraform and/or Terragrunt.\nExperience with Flux or other GitOps-based continuous delivery and cluster deployment tools.\nStrong experience with Rancher, Grafana, Helm, and related Kubernetes management and observability stacks.\nExperience with software scanning tools such as Grype or Artifactory Xray.\nStrong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.\nExperience deploying, configuring, and managing Kubernetes clusters in production or mission-critical environments.\nExperience with container monitoring and security tools such as Prisma Cloud Compute or similar products.\nExperience with the design and development of software applications or algorithms for data management, processing, analysis, and/or visualization.\nExperience supporting software systems as a subject matter expert in an aerospace or space systems environment.\nAbility to manage multiple concurrent efforts at different stages of the assessment and evaluation lifecycle.\nAbility to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution involving the full spectrum of systems engineering and integration activities.\nSecurity+ certification.\nLinux+ certification.\nExperience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nAn active Secret security clearance is required for this position.This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
