Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Document Controller to join our team!\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nPerforms a variety of document control functions for a project or department.\nManage and update a document control system to ensure that general program administrative and individual project documents are properly recorded and maintained, request for information is transmitted and responded to, and approvals or denial of approvals are recorded and communicated via Aconex.\nCoordinates the flow of documents between project operations, engineering disciplines, construction team, or other department groups. Incumbent may be responsible for a small-sized project. \nWill have knowledge of both the work processes of document control and also the use of electronic systems used to manage documentation. \nProcesses one or more document types through all procedural steps in accordance with well-defined procedures and guidelines. Ensures that pre-established document control requirements (e.g., which document numbering system will be used; how many and which signatures will be required for certain approvals, etc.) are satisfactorily met throughout the duration of the project.\nReceives, tracks, and monitors documents using standard document management programs to register documents, maintain databases, and produces logs, transmittals, and other reports as required. Enters data and produces reports using other standard office automation or department-specific computer applications.\nEstablish document logs to track the processing of specific control documents.\nEstablish systems and procedures to track the processing of documents such as correspondence, minutes, reports, payment requests, change notices, change orders, claims, requests for information, submittals, schedules, etc.\nImplement a computerized system for document control.\nMaintains an established data distribution system and schedule for the assigned project based upon client, project, department, and supplier requirements. Expedites review, signature approval, and release of supplier and internally produced documents.\nMay perform some clerical duties such as light typing, filing, answering phones, messenger service, etc.\nPerforms other duties commensurate with functional level and responsibilities.\nContributes as a team player who is deadline driven and works well with others.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nA Degree in the related discipline.\nMinimum5 years of document control experience in an engineering design / consulting environment.\nProficient keyboard skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.\nA strong working knowledge of ACONEX.\nGood written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management. \nExperience working on engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
