Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is now hiring a Drainage Engineer I to join our Savannah, Georgia office to support major regional transportation infrastructure projects! In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of drainage systems for transportation and infrastructure projects. Working alongside experienced engineers and project managers, you will help deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs and regulatory requirements while advancing your technical expertise.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nWork in a team environment to help deliver transportation infrastructure design projects.\nPerform daily task management of junior engineers and designers on assigned tasks.\nProvide mentorship and guide the development of junior staff with standard engineering practices/methodologies, including CAD/CAE modeling software for drainage and stormwater engineering.\nPrepare calculations for the hydraulic and hydrologic analysis of storm drains, detention facilities, culverts, water quality features, and other related items.\nDevelop storm drain plans, profiles, details, and specifications under the direction of senior drainage engineers.\nCoordinate with other design disciplines to develop a comprehensive project design.\nApply and implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) standard practices for assigned tasks.\nAssist in addressing review comments and design issues or constraints from clients and approval agencies.\nSupport and participate in proposal and business development activities.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)\n3+ years of related drainage, stormwater, or transportation design experience\nFundamentals of Engineering Certification and ability to obtain a PE license required.\nExperience in storm drain and water quality design related directly to transportation projects.\nExperience with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and/or Civil3D.\n What Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nExperience with CAD and other software associated with transportation design (Bentley and/or Autodesk).\nKnowledge of standard DOT/FHWA drainage, hydraulic, and hydrology standards and practices.\nExperience with, but not limited to, SWMM Modeling (e.g. EPA-SWMM, XPSWMM, InfoWorks, PC-SWMM), StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcMap.\nStrong communication skills.\nExperience writing drainage reports.\nAbility to work independently and assume responsibility.\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
