Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nDrainage Engineer\nDoha, Qatar\nParsons is seeking a highly talented Drainage Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This role involves contributing to the development of conceptual and detailed engineering designs for infrastructure development projects. The engineer will prepare technical notes, design reports, and other engineering documentation, coordinate with other engineering disciplines, and engage with clients, management, and team members on both technical and non-technical matters.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nContribute to the development of conceptual and detailed engineering designs for infrastructure development projects.\n\nPrepare technical notes, design reports, and other engineering documentation.\n\nCoordinate with other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated, multi-disciplinary designs and resolve design challenges.\n\nDemonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, management, and team members.\n\nProvide support for other wet utilities (foul sewer, potable water, and TSE) as required.\n\nPrepare engineering design models using Civil 3D or similar software.\n\nUtilize engineering software tools such as SewerGEMS, InfoWorks ICM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and other relevant digital platforms.\n\nApply standard engineering principles and techniques to complete complex assignments.\n\nReview design deliverables (plans, profiles, etc.) for technical compliance and construction clarity.\n\nCollaborate with BIM/CAD designers to finalize engineering drawings and resolve potential clashes with other utilities.\n\nDevelop simple workflows or templates to improve design efficiency and consistency.\n\nApply advanced engineering principles to analytical models as needed.\n\nReview and check the work of peers and less experienced engineers for quality and accuracy.\n\nTrack and report progress against task assignments and baseline schedules.\n\nSupport project deadlines by contributing as a productive and reliable team member.\n\nPrepare fundamental engineering calculations, material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and surveys.\n\nPresent proposals and design solutions to clients, authorities, and internal stakeholders.\n\nMay supervise junior staff and provide technical guidance and performance input.\n\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required, with preference given to candidates holding a master's degree.\n\nMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience.\n\nEngineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is an advantage.\n\nFamiliarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nUnderstands QA/QC standard practices and procedures.\n\n What Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nAttention to detail and accuracy in design calculations.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant engineering software.\n\nPreferably already hold MME Engineer Registration or must be attained within six months.
