Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support a major program and construction management team delivering a large, complex industrial infrastructure project.\nWorking under Technical Services leadership, the Engineering Technician will support multidisciplinary design reviews, technical-document coordination, quality activities, field investigations, and construction engineering. The selected candidate will assist engineering and construction personnel by maintaining accurate technical information, tracking technical actions, and helping resolve design and field issues.\nThis position is based near Little Rock, Arkansas and is part of a 4-5 year contract. During the first year, remote work is permitted. After the first year, the selected candidate will be required to either reside within commuting distance of Little Rock, AR or be willing to relocate to the area.\nPeriodic travel and coordination with program leadership, Client representatives, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and on-site personnel may be required.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nSupport engineering managers, discipline leads, project engineers, construction managers, and quality personnel with technical coordination and project execution.\nAssist with reviewing drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, submittals, requests for information, vendor data, and other technical documents.\nReview technical records for completeness, consistency, revision status, and compliance with approved project procedures.\nPrepare sketches, marked-up drawings, technical exhibits, quantity takeoffs, spreadsheets, reports, and routine calculations under appropriate technical supervision.\nSupport multidisciplinary design and constructability reviews by distributing packages, consolidating comments, and tracking actions through closure.\nIdentify apparent discrepancies, omissions, conflicts, and coordination concerns and refer them to the responsible engineer for resolution.\nMaintain technical-action, design-review, submittal, request-for-information, and engineering-deliverable trackers.\nCoordinate with Document Control to ensure technical documents are correctly numbered, revised, distributed, retained, and available to authorized personnel.\nSupport field investigations and site walks by collecting measurements, photographs, equipment information, and observations of existing or installed conditions.\nCompare observed field conditions with approved documents and report potential deviations or nonconforming conditions to engineering, construction, and quality personnel.\nSupport inspection and quality activities by organizing material certifications, test reports, nonconformance records, corrective actions, and other technical evidence.\nAssist with evaluating technical issues by assembling applicable drawings, specifications, calculations, field information, and contractor documentation.\nSupport procurement and vendor coordination by tracking equipment data, material requirements, technical submittals, certifications, manuals, and supplier deliverables.\nAssist commissioning personnel with technical documentation, equipment records, test packages, deficiency tracking, system turnover, and operational-readiness activities.\nProvide technical status information for progress reports, dashboards, schedule updates, risk reviews, and management briefings.\nSupport project closeout by organizing record drawings, final specifications, equipment data, test records, operating manuals, warranties, and other required technical records.\nUse approved engineering, PMIS, document-management, drawing-review, spreadsheet, and reporting tools to maintain accurate project information.\nPerform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.\nWork remotely during the first year, with the expectation of residing within commuting distance of Little Rock, Arkansas, or relocating to the area thereafter.\nSupport periodic travel and coordination with program leadership, Client representatives, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and on-site personnel.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field and at least six years of relevant experience.\nAn equivalent combination of technical education, professional training, and relevant engineering or construction-support experience may be considered.\nExperience reviewing technical documents, collecting field information, maintaining engineering records, and tracking technical actions.\nWorking knowledge of engineering, construction, inspection, and quality-control principles and documentation.\nAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schematics, equipment data, submittals, and technical reports.\nAbility to prepare routine calculations, quantity takeoffs, sketches, drawing markups, spreadsheets, and field records.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to identify apparent discrepancies, omissions, conflicts, and incorrect revisions.\nStrong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and follow-up skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.\nAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary and matrixed organization.\nDemonstrated integrity, accountability, sound judgment, and commitment to safety, quality, and accurate technical documentation.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nExperience supporting multidisciplinary engineering, construction, inspection, or quality activities on a large industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, or government project.\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, PMIS platforms, and electronic document-management systems.\nExperience supporting design and constructability reviews, field investigations, inspection activities, procurement, commissioning, and project closeout.\nEngineer-in-Training, Engineering Technician, quality, construction-inspection, AutoCAD, or equivalent technical certification.\nOSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour Construction Safety training.\nExperience coordinating with engineering, construction, quality, procurement, commissioning, Document Control, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and Client representatives.\nExperience preparing technical status information for progress
