Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nJob Description:\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Field Inspector - Rail and Transit to join our team! In this role you will get to work on an exciting Rail and Transit project in Philadelphia PA. With minimal supervision, independently performs all aspects of field engineering assignments including implementation of plans, schedules, contracts, procedures, and construction methods and systems for an assigned project, or a designated area of a large project. Incumbent is also responsible for reviewing the performance of contactor and subcontractors to assure contract compliance, the application of accepted construction technology and standards, and the acceptable standardization of materials and supplies.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nPerform daily field inspections to confirm work meets approved plans and specifications.\nPrepare daily field reports summarizing progress, inspections, and issues.\nMonitor contractor and subcontractor activities for compliance with safety and quality standards.\nCommunicate and help resolve site-related construction challenges promptly.\nReview the weekly schedule look aheads and be able to realistically estimate the activity durations.\nSupport quality control by documenting non-conformances and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.\nCollaborate and coordinate with other field inspectors and managers.\nBe willing to work on day/night shifts and weekends as required by the construction schedule.\nAssist with tracking and updating logs for RFIs, NCRs, and other construction documentation.\nBe able to perform administrative duties under the direction of Construction Manager.\nContribute to monthly progress reports and schedule look-aheads under guidance from the Construction Manager.\nAssisting the Construction Manager as required.\nThe position require support during day/night shifts and frequent weekend shifts during the CM oversight of the project construction schedule.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's Degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience\n5+ years of experience in field construction is required.\nExperience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.\nRequires a comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as industry practices.\nAlso requires excellent written and oral communication skills, a familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction, and the proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a project.\nSoftware skills should include: MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, ProCore, Adobe Acrobat.\nGood Oral and Written communication abilities, will be writing and editing Meeting Minutes.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nAmtrak experience is a plus\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
