We need your help.\nParsons is seeking a Full Stack Engineer with QA Focus who has strong frontend and UX skills, combined with a passion for software testing, quality assurance, and systems evaluation. This is a hybrid role that balances active frontend development with significant responsibility for testing our application, identifying bugs, evaluating system behavior (especially with containers), and improving overall software quality. The ideal candidate is a strong React/CesiumJS developer who also thinks like a tester and cares deeply about user experience. Our stack includes React, CesiumJS, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Apache running on Windows, with increasing use of Docker containers. In this role you will get to support a high visibility Navy Program.\nWhat You’ll be Doing:\nProvide regular updates to team members and stakeholders, fostering transparency and collaboration.\nDevelop and maintain high-quality, intuitive user interfaces using React and CesiumJS with strong attention to UX/UI best practices\nPerform in-depth manual, exploratory, and regression testing to identify bugs and usability issues\nEvaluate how Docker containers and different system configurations impact application performance, stability, and behavior\nTest interactions between the frontend (React + CesiumJS), backend (Node.js), database (PostgreSQL), and the Windows/Apache environment\nDesign and implement practical testing processes and documentation to raise the team’s quality standards\nConduct system-level evaluation and performance testing of 3D geospatial web applications\nCollaborate with the team to improve code quality, user experience, and overall reliability\nDocument defects clearly and work with developers to resolve them\nRequired Qualifications:\nMust have a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.\nMinimum of 2+ years of professional experience in web application development with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical discipline (additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree)\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative/distributed team environment\nStrong React skills and modern JavaScript/TypeScript expertise\n Significant experience with CesiumJS (or similar 3D geospatial visualization libraries)\nDemonstrated User Experience (UX) skills - ability to design and implement clean, intuitive, and responsive interfaces\nStrong background in software testing, QA, and systems evaluation\nExperience testing containerized applications (Docker) and understanding container-to-system interactions\n CompTIA Security+ (SY0-601 or SY0-701) certification - required\nExperience with PostgreSQL and Node.js\nExcellent analytical, debugging, and documentation skills\nDesired Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with agile development principles and practices (SAFe, JIRA)\nExperience improving testing practices in teams that previously had minimal formal testing\nKnowledge of Apache HTTP Server on Windows environments\nFamiliarity with geospatial data and 3D web applications\nExperience with performance testing tools\nUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines\nTypeScript experience\nAn active TS/SCI is preferred\nExperience supporting Navy programs, NAVWAR, NIWC Pacific, NIWC Atlantic\nSecurity Clearance Requirement:\nAn active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
