Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nGeotechnical Inspector\nAbu Dhabi, UAE\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Geotechnical Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to perform various types of construction inspection activities, including quality control procedures.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nInterface with clients and contractor’s staff to determine and verify project requirements.\n\nPrepares inspection reports and site records.\n\nPerforms geological tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slump, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades surveys, bolt torques and concrete coring.\n\nProvides general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.\n\nVerifies equipment alignment and balancing operations.\n\nPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.\n\nReceive material inspection requests (MIR) from contractor, inspect civil materials delivered at site and report on quantity and technical compliance and sign off requests.\n\nPrepare/complete the necessary documentation prior to inspection of the works and process accordingly following completion of the inspection.\n\nKeep, monitor and follow up as necessary and maintain complete record(s) concerning the execution of the works.\n\nEnsures that the project quality control procedures are used for the construction supervision works and monitors it for improvement.\n\nEnsure site progress information is communicated regularly.\n\nPerform all other duties that may be requested by team leadership\n\nCoordinate the works to ensure successful hand-over of the project\n\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's Degree or diploma in Geological Engineering or equivalent.\n\nMinimum 5 years experience in civil/geotechnical inspection of land development construction works.\n\nKnowledge and experience using computer software such as Flaxis, Geostudio, Slide\n\nGCC experience preferred.\n\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nStrong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently.\n\nGood oral and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.\n\nAbility to handle the physical aspects of required field work.\n\nCommitment to safe work practices.\n\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
