We will welcome you into the stimulating process of exchanging ideas for personal and professional growth.\nLet’s talk about what you’ll be doing:\nParsons is seeking Mechanical Engineering Interns to support HVAC, plumbing, industrial piping, and industrial ventilation for federal projects in the Pasadena, CA office.\nTasking may include:\nRevit design for mechanical systems\nPerforming engineering calculations and analyses: thermal and Fluid Mechanics\nPerforming research and creating engineering reports\nAll activities will be designed to give the intern a thorough understanding of the engineering design process and insight into the role Mechanical Engineers play in industry. To facilitate their education and the quality of their experience, each intern is paired one-on-one with a mentor of the same discipline. Interns participate in the 4D Internship Program where they interact with interns of varying disciplines and senior management within the organization.\nRequired Qualifications:\nPursuing a Bachelor's (3rd year or above) or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Fire Protection\nUS Citizenship\nMajor GPA greater than 3.25/4.00\nGood writing, communication, and interpersonal skills\n Desired Skills:\n3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) experience (i.e., SolidWorks) or Revit experience\nDeep knowledge of heat transfer and fluid mechanics\nFamiliar with Energy modeling technician/assistant, research assistant, extensive lab coursework\nParsons is a leading technology firm driving the future of defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure.
