In this role you will get to design new and existing Transit projects that will include Transit Structures (Platforms / Station Buildings/ Industrial Buildings/ Etc.)\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nDesign Structural Steel Structure/ Buildings using software packages (i.e.: Sap 2000), following CSA S-16-19 Handbook of Steel Construction..\n\nDesign Reinforced Concrete Structure using structural analysis software packages (SAFE, ETABS, S-Concrete, Etc.) following CSA A23.3-19 Concrete Design Handbook.\n\nVerify the design using hand calculations following the CSA design codes CSA A23.3-19 and CSA S-16-19.\n\nMarkup Structural Steel details for BIM technologists and EITs.\n\nMarkup Rebar detail for Reinforced Concrete structures for BIM technologists and EITs.\n\nDesign coordination with other disciplines, Clients and Construction Managers.\n\nPreparation of Calculation Packages.\n\nSite visits and issuing site visit reports.\n\nInvolvement in Structural Specifications.\n\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field)\n\n5+ years of related work experience.\n\nStructural Design experience in producing structural drawings.\n\nStructural analysis software packages knowledge.\n\nExcellent communication skills.\n\n What Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nTransit Projects Structural experience.\n\nExperience in structural design following Metrolinx Design Railway Manual (DRM) standards and in American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA 2023) standards.\n\nExperience in Masonry design following CSA S304-19 standards.\n\nMasters or Doctorate in Structural design is considered an asset.\n\nComputational Design knowledge and experience.\n\nThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
