Do you enjoy working collaboratively with BIM professionals, designers, and engineers to support coordinated project delivery? Parsons is seeking a Junior BIM Engineer to support our growing portfolio of projects in Abu Dhabi.\nWorking under the guidance of the BIM Coordinator and senior project team members, the Junior BIM Engineer will support the day-to-day implementation of BIM processes. The role requires strong computer, CAD, BIM, and technical skills to assist in developing accurate two-dimensional and three-dimensional models for drawing production, quality checking, coordination, and constructability review.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nUse Revit for three-dimensional modelling and support model-based workflows across projects.\nApply a basic understanding of Revit families and design libraries when developing and updating project models.\nFollow project modelling standards and naming conventions to maintain consistency and quality in the digital model.\nSupport the creation and maintenance of Revit templates and contribute to effective model organisation.\nAssist with the preparation of drawing views and model-based documentation for design and coordination purposes.\nDemonstrate a basic understanding of European and British Standards, including relevant BS and PAS series.\nMaintain awareness of ISO 19650 and core information management principles in relation to BIM delivery.\nFollow Common Data Environment (CDE) procedures for model sharing, version control, and information exchange.\nContribute to Project Information Model (PIM) delivery and support digital delivery methods as required.\nAssist with quality assurance, model validation, and compliance checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.\nParticipate in collaboration and coordination activities, including clash detection workflows.\nSupport basic quantity take-off and scheduling workflows using model data.\nMaintain awareness of Asset Information Models (AIM), COBie, operation and maintenance information, and asset tagging requirements.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Architechtural Engineering programs from an accredited institution.\nMinimum 1+ years of relevant experience in BIM, Revit, CAD, engineering design, or construction documentation may be considered.\nBasic to intermediate experience using current versions of Revit.\nProficiency in preparing and updating two-dimensional and three-dimensional drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.\nFundamental understanding of BIM workflows, modeling standards, Level of Development, naming conventions, and parametric modeling.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.\nAbility to set up and work within Revit project files under the guidance of senior BIM team members.\nWorking experience in creating or modifying Revit families in accordance with project requirements.\nFamiliarity with Revit links, worksets, shared coordinates, and federated models is preferred.\nBasic understanding of clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or similar software.\nExperience with the following platforms is desirable:Essential or preferred: Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, BIM 360, and Dynamo.\nAdditional software: ProjectWise, Synchro, Bluebeam Studio, SketchUp, Autodesk Inventor, or 3ds Max.\n\nFamiliarity with ISO 19650, PAS 1192, BS 1192, or other applicable BIM standards is preferred.\nInfrastructure, bridge, tunnel, transportation, or civil engineering project experience is advantageous.\nStrong computer skills and the ability to learn new BIM and digital delivery tools.\nGood problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate models and drawings.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nWillingness to learn, accept feedback, and develop technical and professional skills.\nAbility to assist with the preparation of basic analytical reports, presentations, and project documentation.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
