We need your help.\nOur team is seeking a Jr System Administrator with a strong Tier 1 focus. In this role, you will support day-to-day IT Operations (Ops) by resolving customer issues related to Information Technology systems. You will serve as the first line of defense for the IT Ops Team, troubleshooting and resolving account management issues, hardware and basic system issues, and escalating as appropriate. Responsibilities include maintaining IT systems, following established standard operating procedures, and ensuring continued system performance. You will also install, update, and verify the functionality of operating systems to support overall system integrity and efficiency. This position will support activities within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of War (DoW) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Military Compartments efforts. The position will provide “day-to-day” onsite support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.\nRequired Skills:\nProvides Tier 1 Service Desk problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.\nProvides support for escalations to Tier 2 and Tier 3, ensuring timely communication of status updates to leadership and customers.\nProvides technical support and guidance to all users including account management.\nProficiency with ticketing systems for tracking and managing user support requests.\nCreates and tracks incident tickets to resolution.\nEscalates and routes incident tickets to the proper groups to resolve issues.\nRelies on knowledge and professional judgment to achieve objectives; highly self-motivated.\nStrong ability to produce and maintain varied technical documentation including Service Desk Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)\nTrack metrics for incident tickets and watch for trends.\nTroubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.\nWork as part of a security incident response team as needed.\nFamiliar with COMSEC requirements and procedures.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)\nAll other tasks as assigned by the IT Ops manager.\nFollow Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and build Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for service desk performance\nMust have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited university, with 1-4 years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nTop Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Secret Compartmented Information (SCI)\nWillingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph to achieve SAP security Clearance upon hire\nPossess a DoD 8140.03/8570.01 Information Assurance Technical II certification e.g., CompTIA Security+\nMust have the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, and effectively interact with numerous DoW, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners\n100% onsite is required in Reston, VA with additional support at alternate sites including Chantilly, Crystal City, and Pentagon as needed.\nDesired Skills:\nFamiliar with basic network troubleshooting skills.\nKnowledge of Networking technologies, Ports, Protocols, and services.\nUnderstanding of patch management processes and ensuring systems remain compliant with security requirements\nExperience with configuration management and asset management responsibilities.\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nAn active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
