In this role you will get to oversee the production of design deliverables for exciting and complex engineering projects.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nFunction as discipline lead engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the group.\n\nPlan, direct, and supervise the work of a major engineering project requiring a large-scale expenditure of manpower and financial investment.\n\nLeads other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth in the Quality Improvement Process.\n\nMentors junior engineers and designers.\n\nProvides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.\n\nEnsures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the professional engineering seal and signature when required by statute or contract.\n\nPrepares material/equipment specifications and purchase requisitions; reviews supplier data; witnesses shop tests, assists with assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities.\n\nConducts surveys, studies, and site investigations.\n\nMaintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.\n\nHelps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist with other administrative and technical duties.\n\nRecommends and prepares technical papers.\n\nPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.\n\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\n1+ years of related electrical engineering experience on commercial and industrial multi-use buildings\n\nBS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution\n\nWorking knowledge of NFPA 70\n\nGood communication skills are needed, this position will interact with the client\n\nThe ability to lead an electrical engineering team in the execution of complex infrastructure projects\n\nExperience producing design documents for industrial and commercial facilities including Drawings and Specifications\n\nExperience producing calculations required for electrical distribution designs including: Load analysis, Short circuit calculations, Voltage drop calculations, Arc flash calculations, Coordination studies, Lightning protection design analysis, Ground resistance models\n\nPE registration is required\n\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nDesign-build experience is a plus\n\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
