Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nMaterial Engineer\nDubai, UAE\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Material Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to involve in monitoring, inspection, coordination, witnessing, documentation of all material of the project to ensure that the project is constructed as per Contract requirements and specifications\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nReview the Contractor's material submittals and obtain the required approvals according to the applicable standards and project specifications.\nServes as the focal point for the scheduling and control of construction materials and equipment at the job site\nConducts inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications.\nCoordinates work of subconsultants for material testing\nMaintains office files related to the project, material inspections and writes daily diaries.\nPrepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract\nVerifies that only approved materials are incorporated in the work\nRecognizes potential conflicts, issues and problems on construction materials, and reports to supervisor with proposed solution\nCollects, reviews and files Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags and other information relevant to the materials used.\nMay provide technical guidance to lower-level\nParticipates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports\nParticipates in the development of quality control reports and procedures\nCapability to perform math calculation in order to prepare engineering calculations, graphs and charts\nObserve, check and record works execution is in accordance with approved methods\nCheck material delivered are as approved and properly stored\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nB.Sc. in Civil/ Geology Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent.\nMinimum 12 years in infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years in the UAE/GCC on roads, bridges, or tunnels. \nRTA previous approval is mandatory.\nStrong technical reporting, MS Office, basic AutoCAD, laboratory management, and stakeholder communication.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
