Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nMechanical Engineer (Infrastructure - Construction & Supervision)\nDubai, UAE\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mechanical Engineer (Construction Supervision) to join our team! In this role you will get to perform conventional and moderately-complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nCoordinate, execute and manage site supervision, design review, planning, project monitoring and testing & commissioning.\n\nAdvise Project Management Team and the Client on technical matters related to procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of all mechanical equipment.\n\nAttend all tests in factories and at site required for successful completion of the project, and handing over of assets to the relevant authorities.\n\nDevelops the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget requirements.\n\nIdentifies and documents changes in scope. Assists in determining the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project buy outs, monitoring progress to maintain those procurements.\n\nInterfaces with procurement and subcontract personnel to facilitate the bid process. Coordinates the utilization of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the project with other Project Engineers.\n\nCoordinates the assignment of personnel from other technical support groups within the company.\n\nAssists the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study.\n\nAssists in determining the technical skills and staff hours required for successful completion of the project.\n\nEnsures client criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines.\n\nExpedites distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and Project Manager.\n\nPrepares technical reports and documentation of activity for the client and project management.\n\nObtains, analyzes, and circulates technical and contractual information to project disciplines.\n\nPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.\n\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution.\n\nMinimum 10 years experience in site supervision, design review, planning, project monitoring and testing & commissioning for large scale infrastructure projects.\n\nPrior experience in construction supervision of pumping stations, firefighting systems, chilled water network, utilities of infrastructure projects is a must.\n\nFully conversant with the authority requirements (DEWA/DM/Civil Defense) and processes in the emirate of Dubai.\n\nProficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.\n\nExcellent written and oral communications skills in English.\n\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nPotential to perform in a lead capacity.\n\nFamiliarity of industry practices and regulations are preferred.\n\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
