Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nMEP Engineer\nQatar\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented MEP Engineer to join our team in Qatar! In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works associated with roads, drainage, utilities, pumping stations, irrigation systems, street lighting, and related infrastructure projects. You will ensure that all MEP activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and project schedules while supporting the successful delivery of the project.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nSupervising and monitoring MEP construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.\nReviewing contractors' shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and technical submissions related to MEP works.\nMonitoring installation activities related to pumping systems, irrigation systems, street lighting, utility infrastructure, and associated mechanical and electrical works.\nCoordinating MEP works with roads, drainage, utilities, structures, landscape, and other project disciplines to ensure effective project execution.\nIdentifying technical issues, design conflicts, and construction constraints and recommending practical solutions.\nMonitoring contractor performance and construction progress and reporting issues affecting quality, safety, cost, or schedule.\nParticipating in inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities for MEP systems.\nEnsuring compliance with QA/QC requirements and project quality standards.\nReviewing testing and commissioning procedures and witnessing testing activities as required.\nCoordinating with Resident Engineers, Site Engineers, Inspectors, contractors, utility providers, and other stakeholders on MEP-related matters.\nEnsuring compliance with HSE requirements and promoting safe working practices throughout project execution.\nReviewing as-built information and supporting project close-out and handover activities.\nPreparing technical reports, progress updates, observations, and project documentation as required.\nSupporting the resolution of site-related MEP issues through effective coordination and technical review.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.\n10 years of experience in MEP construction supervision and infrastructure projects, including 7 years in a similar role.\nExperience supervising mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works roads, utilities, drainage, pumping stations, street lighting, irrigation systems, or infrastructure projects.\nFamiliarity with construction inspections, testing procedures, and QA/QC requirements.\nAbility to identify technical issues and support the implementation of practical solutions.\nGood understanding of HSE requirements associated with MEP and construction activities.\nStrong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.\nGood report writing and documentation skills.\nMust be MMUP/MME certified in Qatar.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring\nFamiliarity with local authority requirements, standards, and approval processes related to MEP works.\nExperience working on infrastructure construction supervision projects.\nExperience coordinating with utility providers, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.\nFamiliarity with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and applicable international standards.\nDemonstrated ability to support successful project delivery while maintaining quality, safety, and client satisfaction.\nExperience utilizing project reporting and monitoring tools to support project performance and decision-making.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
