Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Millwright/Industrial Mechanic (CBA - Skilled Trades Ticketed) to join our team! In this role, you will support the Care and Maintenance team.\nLocal candidates are preferred; however, candidates available on a fly-in/fly-out rotational basis will also be considered.\nThis position works a rotational schedule of two (2) weeks on and two (2) weeks off, consisting of 12-hour shifts.\nEmployees are provided with an LOA allowance and are responsible for providing their own food and meals.\nThis position includes membership in the United Steelworkers Local 925. The hourly wage for this position is $47.99.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nConduct preventative maintenance and servicing of fixed equipment. \nDiagnose, troubleshoot, and determine the extent of mechanical problems. \nRebuild components and work with manufacturers when necessary. \nDocument and return all completed work orders promptly. \nCommunicate with Supervisors and coworkers to coordinate work and provide updates. \nWork with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. \nWork with a team to conduct job risk assessments and safe work plans before starting a task, and perform work in a safe and well-managed manner. \nCheck for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. \nProvide input and work collaboratively with Planners and Schedulers to develop work packages. \nConduct pipeline and pumping system checks, scheduled inspections, adjustments, troubleshooting, and timely repairs. \nMaintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout workshops and other areas to ensure a safe work environment and effectively manage risks. \nDemonstrate full compliance with OHS and Environmental Management System standards by assisting with implementation and participating in initiatives, regular meetings, investigations, and training. \nParticipate in and contribute to audits in the maintenance and production facilities. \nMaintain a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures. \nEnsure procedures are followed when carrying out all tasks and assist colleagues in doing the same. \nPerform various other labour duties associated with dewatering and water treatment systems. \nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nValid Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright/Industrial Mechanic certification, or equivalent interprovincial certification, is required. \nPrevious experience in a production-based plant or industrial plant setting is preferred. \nMechanical aptitude with multistage submersible, sump, and centrifugal pump experience. \nExperience with previous CMMS programs or the ability to learn Maintenance Connection. \nValid Class 5 driver’s license. \nAbility to follow and give directions effectively. \nAbility to sit or stand for long periods. \nAbility to work a variety of shifts. \nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. \nThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
