We need a Municipal Engineering Project Manager who is versatile, and who possesses exceptional communication, analytical and management skills.\nYou will also be part of a larger team that strives to live Parsons’ values each day - delivering a better world through our commitment to people, processes, and technology.\nResponsibilities:\nAct as Team Leader on relevant projects, tasks, and other assignments promoting technical excellence and quality assurance of project tasks and deliverables.\nManage, coach, motivate and provide leadership for staff to provide high-quality services and innovative solutions to complex infrastructure design challenges involving multiple stakeholders.\nLead and oversee the preparation of technical reports and documentation of activity for clients and promoting technical excellence and quality assurance of project tasks and deliverables.\nProvide effective and efficient management of relevant day-to-day operations, including scheduling, assigning, and reviewing work to achieve project objectives and outcome measures.\nAssist in business development activities and undertake leadership roles in proposal preparation.\nMaintain an awareness of trends, developments and advancements in relevant fields and broader industry to retain technical competency and provide state-of-the-art services and advice to our clients.\nAct as Parsons’ representative with clients and selected subcontractors during project execution. \nCollaborate with Business Development to market and secure additional work with provincial, regional, and municipal clients. \nParticipate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients. \nOversee the establishment of the Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required. \nWork with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. \nEnsure that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans. \nWork with the key project individuals to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advise the client and company management of any such changes. \nPromote technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes. \nPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.\nQualifications:\n10+ years of relevant technical experience, including 5 years of successful technical leadership.\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.\nRegistered as Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), or eligible for registration, with Engineers and Geoscientist of British Columbia (EGBC).\nProven track record of leading and managing group of Engineers, Designers, and technical support personnel.\nDemonstrated ability and experience in training, mentoring, motivating, leading, and supervising a team of highly qualified professional staff\nExcellent written and oral communications skills\nApplied knowledge of published standards and guidelines from provincial and municipal governments and associations.\nExcellent understanding of stakeholders’ (utility company) processes and requirements.\nProficient in the application of specialized engineering and assessments software.\nThorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.\nPossess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments.\nAbility to embrace change and pivot as project priorities evolve ensuring project goals are consistently aligned with client and corporate objectives\nExceptional organization abilities including the capacity to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously\nRelocation assistance is available.\nThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
