Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nPlanning Engineer\nQatar\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Planning Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to provide planning and scheduling support required in the execution of projects, overseeing assigned engineering construction projects. Analyzing engineering problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions. Developing, implementing, and maintaining scheduling and project controls functions on a Programs (Design and construction projects).\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nExtensive knowledge and experience in project planning, budgeting, cost phasing and control from the project initiation to close out phases, utilizing computer based systems (Primavera Project Management ‘P6’ & Primavera Contract Management ‘Expedition’), within the framework of an integrated project services function for the effective management of a wide range of concurrent projects, to meet the business plan objectives.\nCompleted at least one project in same role that is comparable in complexity and size to the project.\nUsing latest version of Primavera Project Management (P6) and Primavera Web Scheduling software for monitoring and reviewing the baselines and updated project schedules and cost.\nEnsuring the use of standardized forms and reports of Ashghal which are available in Primavera Contract Management (Expedition); Reviewing contractor’s work program submissions including all narratives and supporting information and provides analysis and findings.\nVerifying actual progress and comparing actual performances to original plans.\nMonitoring, adjusting, and updating the cost plan and cash flows accordingly and the consolidating of these results in monthly reports.\nImplements and maintains an Earned Value Management System on the project.\nPreform EOT Assessment and prepare recommendation reports.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline with certification in planning and scheduling of projects and in using Primavera applications (Primavera Project Management /P6 and Primavera Contract Management / Expedition) and cost Engineering.\nMinimum 14 years of experience of which should be in a similar role with an engineering consultancy, supervisor consultant or project management consultancy.\nExperience in infrastructure projects such as Roads, Drainage, Sewer, public works.\nRequires basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field.\nProficient PC skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Primavera Project\nManagement /P6 and Primavera Contract Management / Expedition, and Power BI.\nMust have good command of English both written and spoken, good communication and presentation skills.\nMMUP is a must.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nAbility to work in a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating effectively with engineers, managers, and contractors.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.\nKnowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards related to infrastructure projects.\nAbility to generate progress reports, cost forecasts, and schedule updates for stakeholders.\nProactive problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail, particularly in ensuring compliance with project timelines and budgets.\nMinimum Clearance Required to Start:Parsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
