Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nPrincipal Bridges / Structure Design Engineer\nQatar\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Bridges / Structure Design Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar! In this role, you will lead the design and review of a wide range of structures, including bridges, tunnels, underpasses, retaining walls, car parks, and public infrastructure-related buildings and structures. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, well-coordinated structural designs for major infrastructure projects.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nLeading the detailed structural design of bridges, tunnels, underpasses, retaining walls, car parks, and public infrastructure-related buildings/structures.\nProviding hands-on supervision for the production of design drawings, calculation reports, and technical specifications.\nEnsuring quality assurance of structural design deliverables prior to formal client submissions.\nActively coordinating with other technical disciplines to produce well-coordinated designs that satisfy functionality, serviceability, and constructability requirements and provide clash-free configurations.\nTracking the progress of assigned design tasks and reporting status to the Design Manager and Project Managers, resolving any issues that may arise during design development.\nSupporting other engineering activities as required by the Lead Engineer or Design Manager.\nPerforming other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.\nWorking in a self-motivated manner and requiring minimal supervision on assigned tasks.\nWhat Required Skills You’ll Bring\nBachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering.\n10 years of related work experience, with demonstrable hands-on experience in the structural design of bridges and related structures.\nStrong proficiency with structural and bridge design software, including:Midas Civil\nCSi Bridge\nSAP2000\nStructural Bridge Design (Autodesk)\nIDEA StatiCa\nAutoCAD\nBentley RAM (connections/elements)\n\nIn-depth knowledge of relevant design codes and standards, including:Client-related structural design guidelines and Interim Advice Notes\nEurocode\nBritish Standards\nAASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications\n\nBusiness-level English language skills sufficient to produce well-structured technical reports with minimal need for grammatical corrections and to communicate clearly in verbal discussions.\nUPDA (MME) registration in Qatar, or eligibility and ability to obtain registration within 6 months of onboarding.\nWhat Desired Skills You’ll Bring\nMaster’s Degree in Structural Engineering is highly preferred.\nPossession of internationally recognized engineering licenses such as PE, SE, CEng, or PEng is highly preferred.\nFamiliarity with Revit or other BIM tools for structural coordination.\nNative-level English speaking and writing skills.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
