In this job you will get to work on airport projects in Florida.\nSPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:\nThe Principal Construction Engineer is part of the Construction Management Division and assists with management of construction contracts for facility and airfield projects. This person is responsible for project’s development from design through construction being delivered on time, within budget, and ensuring contract compliance of construction projects.\nJob Duties:\nCoordination of construction of airport infrastructure projects with multiple personnel involved.\nEnsures construction projects are delivered complying with contract documents, budget and schedule.\nReports to management on progress of the projects and all issues during construction.\nManage project change orders to reduce unnecessary scope increases.\nCloses projects as required providing necessary documentation.\nEnforcing compliance to plans and specifications by reviewing inspector’s reports daily, Resident Engineer reports done weekly and generate Non-Compliance Repots readily to document non-compliance issues.\nConstructability Reviews performed on future projects to identify and verify changes to potential issues that may impact effective project delivery.\nQualifications:\nEngineering degree from an accredited university or applicable work experience in lieu of education for a total of 12+ years of experience.\nProfessionalism, experience and/or education applicable for position.\nExcellent leadership capabilities, interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to express ideas both verbally and in writing to be understood by general audience.\nAbility to work with varied disciplines and coordinate work with other departments or personnel.\nAbility to recognize, evaluate and resolve project related issues to mitigate problems.\nMaintain integrity and ethical behavior during Construction Division Projects.\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
