In this role you will be given an opportunity to work across a wide variety of projects and further develop their skills and leadership expertise.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nCivil and Transport infrastructure drainage design.\nDetailed analysis and review of hydrological and hydraulic models.\nProvide technical design expertise for drainage and stormwater quality systems, including piped networks and major transverse drainage structures. Embrace and promote a leading digital work environment and delivery culture\nHydraulic and System design of the complex environment to meet site-specific requirements.\nApplying knowledge and experience of the biological and physical process of stormwater management.\nApplying innovative ideas, technology, and value engineering solutions\nSupervision/Mentoring and support to intermediate and junior engineers including taking responsibility for the QA/QC of deliverables.\nUndertake hydrologic modeling, calculations, drawings, report writing, design review, and supervision.\nLeading the projects, taking a high level of responsibility, acting as a project lead and building a strong relationship with clients, and obtaining design approvals.\nCoordinating with the CAD / BIM / 3-D modeling teams on projects.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring\nA Bachelor's degree in Civil/ Hydraulic/ Hydrology/ Water and/or Environmental Engineering.\nMinimum 12 years experience in water engineering, including stormwater drainage design in civil and transport projects, stormwater management, and planning.\nSound knowledge of principles of hydrology and hydraulics.\nDemonstrated understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling/design software packages used in the design of surface drainage, piped networks, cross drainage, and flood analysis, i.e., CAD skills, SWMM, HEC RAS, and HEC-HMS knowledge\nExperience with Infoworks ICM, 1D/2D is compulsory.\nExcellent command with GIS and CAD tools such as ArcMap, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microstation.\nThe capability of mathematics to create calculation sheets and perform further calculations where required to ensure the design is appropriate.\nKnowledge of Water Sensitive Design and Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS).\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nExcellent organizational skills\nA collegiate, team-player attitude\nChartered Engineer (CEng) qualified (or equivalent) or well-progressed towards qualification.\nAbility to work within a multi-disciplinary team and encourage collaboration\nAbility to handle multiple projects and deliver results within the project timeline.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring\nA Master's degree in Water Engineering/Hydrology would be an advantage\nExperience working in Doha and wider GCC countries, including a knowledge of local standards and processes\nHands-on experience in the automation of design workflows including tools such as large language model (AI chatbots), python, ruby script, VBA, dynamo, grasshopper\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
