This is a unique opportunity to work for one of the largest engineering firms in the world, joining a highly-experienced, collaborative, and truly flexible team, working on major projects that will impact the infrastructure of your own community and beyond.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nScope\nDeveloping the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for the assigned roadway project elements, and monitoring progress to meet schedule and budget requirements / Identifying and documenting changes in scope\n\nDetermining the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for technical aspects of the contract and monitors progress\n\nInterfacing with Procurement and Subcontracts to facilitate procurement coordination with vendors/subcontractors\n\nParticipating in bid analysis to help determine supplier availability and capability\n\nManagement\nReviewing work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and that quality is acceptable\n\nMonitoring productivity and technical proficiency of assigned technical personnel, and making reassignments as project needs arise / Conducting performance evaluations, taking corrective action as necessary, and recommending salary action / Providing training and development opportunities for assigned personnel\n\nCoordinating the utilization of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the project, as well as the assignment of personnel from other technical support groups within the company\n\nAssist the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study / Participate in determining the technical skills and staff hours required for successful completion of the project\n\nEnsure client criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines\n\nExpedite distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and Project Manager / Act as Project Manager's deputy for certain activities, such as attending meetings in his/her absence, etc.\n\nTechnical\nUnderstand the client's business goals in order to enhance the project work\n\nPrepare technical reports and documentation of activity for the client and project management\n\nObtain, analyze, and circulate technical and contractual information to project disciplines\n\nReview and approve change orders / Notify project management and other affected personnel of all changes\n\nParticipate regularly in decision-making meetings with the client and project management\n\nMay manage a subtask of a significantly large and complex project or study in accordance with contractual obligations\n\nWhat Skills/Qualifications You'll Bring:\n4-year degree in Civil or Roadway Engineering (or related field)\n\n10+ years of related field engineering experience, a broad general engineering background\n\nPE registration\n\nRelevant experience in project engineering for State DOT work\n\nProven ability to perform in a supervisory capacity in a project engineering role\n\nExcellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations\n\nThorough knowledge of current technology and ability to select and apply appropriate engineering software for project use or project use\n\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
