Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Structural Engineer to join our team!\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nMay function as discipline Project Engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the group.\nMay plan, direct, and supervise the work of a major engineering unit or project requiring a large-scale expenditure of manpower and financial investment.\nLeads other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth in the Quality Improvement Process.\nProvides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.\nEnsures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract.\nPrepares material/equipment specifications and purchase requisitions; reviews supplier data; witnesses shop tests, assists with assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities.\nDevelops operation and maintenance plans; develops standard operating procedures; prepares O & M manuals and may conduct on-site training of personnel.\nConducts surveys, studies, and site investigations.\nPerforms reliability, availability, maintenance (RAM) and safety analyses\nHelps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.\nMay assist with other administrative and technical duties.\nRecommends and prepares technical papers.\nPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)\n10+ Years of experience\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
