In this role you will get to work on critical water infrastructure project in Southern Nevada.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nSupport project controls activities for assigned engineering, procurement, and construction projects under the direction of experienced project controls staff.\nAssist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of project cost control systems, processes, and reports.\nCoordinate with project teams and affected departments to collect, validate, and maintain accurate cost, schedule, and progress information.\nPerform arithmetic and quality checks of cost reports, forecasts, supporting documentation, and project controls data.\nAssist in monitoring project performance and identifying cost, schedule, or progress variances for review by senior project controls personnel.\nMaintain organized and accurate project controls records and supporting documentation in accordance with established procedures.\nSupport subcontractor procurement and cost input\nGain broader project controls experience through assignments or rotations involving Cost Engineering, Planning/Scheduling, and Estimating, while performing other responsibilities appropriate to the position.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\n10+ years of related work experience\nBasic understanding of project controls, cost management, estimating, planning, scheduling, or construction management principles.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to review numerical information and perform accurate cost and schedule calculations.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and other standard Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility to organize, maintain, and analyze project data and supporting documentation.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality control.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate information across multiple project disciplines.\nAbility to prepare clear and professional reports, graphs, charts, and project controls exhibits.\nAbility to prioritize assignments, meet established deadlines, and work effectively in a team-oriented project environment.\nWillingness and ability to learn company and client project controls policies, procedures, systems, and reporting requirements.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nPrevious internship or professional experience supporting engineering, construction, infrastructure, or capital improvement projects.\nIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data analysis.\nUnderstanding of project budgets, commitments, actual costs, forecasts, and cost variances.\nAbility to identify trends or inconsistencies in project data and communicate findings to senior project controls personnel.\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Corporate team.For over 80 years, Parsons Corporation, has shaped the future of the defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure markets.
