Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nOpportunity:\nOur Parsons Pasadena, California office is now hiring for a highly experienced Environmental Project Planner to provide technical direction and assist with managing a team of urban/environmental planning professionals and technicians on large projects, or on several smaller projects or studies, involving the development of plans for the utilization of land and physical facilities of cities, counties, and metropolitan areas. Responsible for the technical excellence of the tasks and analyses performed, regulatory compliance, and for on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. This is a full-time role that can be hybrid (2 days in the office) in Central or Southern California for a highly experienced professional planner with relevant experience.\nResponsibilities:\nPlans, directs, and supervises urban/environmental planning project of large scope and complexity. \nServes as a staff manager, technical leader, and a recognized expert in field of practice. \nMakes staffing assignments and reassignments as project needs arise. \nMonitors productivity and proficiency of assigned personnel. \nEstablishes budget estimates and staffing requirements for defined scope and schedule. Tracks and reports project financials and manages quality control files.\nReviews work produced by those assigned to ensure that all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations are followed, that current techniques are utilized, and that quality is acceptable. \nEngages services and manages outside consultants when warranted. \nConfers with local authorities, civic leaders, social scientists, and land planning and development specialists to devise and recommend arrangements of land and physical facilities for residential, commercial, transportation, industrial, and community uses. \nProvides advice and counsel regarding regulatory compliance issues.\nServes as key contact for major clients. \nMay serve on technical review boards, committees, and panels for projects which will have a major impact on a community or urban area.\nDevelops and presents recommendations based on governmental measures for major projects affecting land use, public utilities, community facilities, housing, and transportation to control and guide community development and renewal.\nPrepares, coordinates, and facilitates public involvement and consensus-building meetings and workshops that are of high interest to the general public.\nReviews and evaluates environmental impact reports and recommends changes to overall project plan as appropriate.\nMaintains active membership in appropriate professional organizations and societies. \nRepresents the Company at conferences, seminars, meetings, etc.\nundefined\nRequirements:\n4-year degree in Urban/Environmental Planning or related field and 15 years or more of related work experience.\nExtensive experience and knowledge of CEQA and NEPA regulations for environmental planning is required. \nExperience in completing environmental documentation for Caltrans projects and using Caltrans Standard Environmental Reference.\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
