Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:\nQuality Engineer\nQatar\nParsons is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeableQuality Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control systems on-site to ensure that construction activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. You will play a key role in promoting a quality-driven culture across all phases of the project.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nMonitoring construction activities to ensure adherence to the approved Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans and procedures.\nConducting inspections, tests, and audits on materials, workmanship, and construction processes to verify compliance with specifications and standards.\nCollaborating with engineering and construction teams to identify and resolve quality issues and non-conformances.\nReviewing method statements, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), material submittals, and construction drawings for quality compliance.\nPreparing detailed inspection and test reports, quality logs, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) as required.\nCoordinating with contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are understood and implemented.\nSupporting the development and implementation of quality management systems (QMS) in alignment with project requirements and international standards (ISO 9001, etc.).\nParticipating in internal and external quality audits and following up on corrective and preventive actions.\nProviding training and awareness sessions to project staff on quality-related topics.\nEnsuring proper documentation and traceability of quality records throughout the project lifecycle.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, subject to approval by the Engineer.\nMinimum of 10 years of experience in quality engineering or QA/QC roles, including at least 7 years within the construction or infrastructure sectors in a consulting environment.\nIn-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, testing procedures, and applicable standards (ASTM, BS, ISO, etc.).\nExperience with QA/QC systems, tools, and documentation practices in large-scale projects.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.\nProficient in Microsoft Office and quality-related software tools.\nExcellent written and spoken English communication skills.\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nCertification in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is preferred.\nExperience working on infrastructure projects such as roads, utilities, drainage, or public works.\nPrior experience working in the Gulf region is highly desirable.\nKnowledge of local construction regulations and quality standards.\nArabic language skills are an advantage.\nAbility to manage multiple responsibilities and work effectively under pressure.\nMinimum Clearance Required to Start:Parsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
