Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. Job Description:\nQuantity Surveyor\nParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quantity Surveyor (Roads and Infrastructure) to join our team! In this role you will get to estimate costs and managing the budget of the Roads, infrastructure and landscaping projects.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nEstimating costs and managing the projects' budgets.\nWorking out the initial projects' cost and monitoring progress to ensure that the work is completed to a high standard and within budget.\nReviewing claims and preparing the proper submittals.\nReviewing the monthly invoices of the contractor's KPI and preparing the proper submittals.\nKeeping an up-to-date assets' control records.\nHandling the related Variation Orders activities.\nTo handle all post-contract QS functions such as handling of interim and final payments, variations, commercial and contractual correspondence, cash flows, claims etc.\nAdvise on contractual matters.\nEnsure completeness and validity of contractual requirements.\nAdvice on Contractor’s resource allocation.\nCarry/verify remeasurement works \nAudit payments to Contractors.\nEnsure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations.\nCheck and record measure of work done.\nPrepare variations and day-works.\nMonitor contracts final cost estimate.\nMaintain expenditure records.\nReview, negotiate and prepare claim settlements.\nCoordinate and monitor activities of his team.\nPrepare financial statements for monthly report.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying\nMinimum of 8 years of experience in Quantity surveying and contract administration of roads and maintenance works.\nMust have thorough knowledge of CESMME and FIDIC.\nAbility to perform standard estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry is required.\nMust have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, drawings and specifications.\nA familiarity with typical project controls software and DMCS (Document and Materials Control System).\nAutoCAD and Microsoft Office/Excel experience required.\nUAE/GCC experience\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nExcellent oral and written communication skills in English.\nAbility to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
