In this role you will get to perform standard estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nResponsible for accurately measuring and pricing using Contract drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities.\n\nTo handle all post-contract QS functions such as handling of interim and final payments, variations, commercial and contractual correspondence, cash flows, claims etc.\n\nAdvise on contractual matters.\n\nEnsure completeness and validity of contractual requirements.\n\nAdvice on Contractor’s resource allocation.\n\nAudit payments to Contractors.\n\nEnsure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations.\n\nCheck and record measure of work done.\n\nPrepare variations and day-works.\n\nMonitor contracts final cost estimate.\n\nMaintain expenditure records.\n\nReview, negotiate and prepare claim settlements.\n\nCoordinate and monitor activities of his team.\n\nPrepare financial statements for monthly report.\n\nPerform other duties associated with this position as may be appropriate.\n\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying\n\nMinimum 10 years experience in large infrastructure projects (roads & utilities) is required.\n\nKnowledge of pre and post contract administration.\n\nGood oral and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.\n\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nUAE Authority approval as Quantity Surveyor is preferred.\n\nMust have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, drawings and specifications.\n\nFamiliarity with Auto Cad is preferred.\n\nStrong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently.\n\nParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
