Are you a systems engineer ready to assist Parsons and the US Army in using state of the art engineering tools to support advancing the Army’s next generation of radar for ground vehicles?\nParsons welcomes an exceptional systems engineer to join our on-going Science and Technology (S&T) efforts at one of the Army’s premier R&D Centers at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. As part of the Parsons team supporting advanced radar capabilities development, you’ll have access to state-of-the-art engineering and modeling tools and subject matter expertise in the areas of radar, modeling and simulation, and software/hardware development for current and future Army radar and sensor systems. Working as part of our high-caliber, dynamic team, you will support the advancement of approaches to develop and implement new radar concepts within a laboratory environment. You’ll support technical coordination with internal and external organizations to address requirements definition, use case development, and subsystem integration. You’ll have an opportunity to influence the development of next-generation advanced radar capabilities that will include being part of a high-performing team that will research, design, develop, and collaborate across programs to achieve end-to-end solutions, providing new analytic, statistical, radio-frequency signal and visual analysis capabilities.\nResponsibilities:\nProvide engineering support to radar science and technology efforts\nLead the development of system architectures and the integration of software and hardware subsystems\nLead and assist in meetings to negotiate solutions across subsystems and disciplines (software, hardware, modeling, and analysis) \nManage and lead systems engineering Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)\nRequirements:\nExperience with systems engineering applied to ground- or air-based radar, communications, or RF systems\nBS (STEM) w/ 3+ years of experience\nExperience with all aspects of systems engineering, including developing, designing, allocating, and managing user and system-level requirements; calculating measures of performance and measures of effectiveness; leading the development of a system architecture; evaluating design tradeoffs; balancing technical risk between systems; defining and assessing interfaces; and providing oversight of verification and validation activities\nExperience in test and evaluation planning\nSystems engineering experience with radar/RF software and hardware subsystems\nClearly communicates complex ideas and produces/presents clear, well-organized presentations in relevant terms for audiences at all levels\nThis position requires the selected candidate to hold an active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance, which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract.\nDesired Qualifications:\n5+ years of experience in radar and/or other RF system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysis\nObject-oriented programming knowledge\nExperience with Matlab and C++ programming\nExperience with DoD systems engineering processes and tools, including DOORS and DoDAF\nExperience developing systems architectures/frameworks\nExpert knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)\nGoal-oriented with excellent people skills, ability to work in a team environment, strong work ethic, and proactive in all manners related to the job\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nAn active Secret security clearance is required for this position.This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
