Job Description:\nParsons is seeking a RF Signal Processing Engineer The selected candidate will develop Modeling & Simulation (M&S) software supporting the development and sustainment of a U.S. Army Radar System Integration Laboratory (SIL). The position requires technical coordination with internal and external organizations to support requirements definition, near real-time C++ implementations of Digital Signal Processing algorithms, and coordination with teams implementing similar algorithms within MATLAB, as well as within System on a Chip (SoC) embedded solutions.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop algorithms for Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Digital Beam Forming (DBF), and general I/Q processing; implement these algorithms in C++ and integrate into distributed simulation environment\n\nProvide expertise in signal processing, particularly in the processing of radar I/Q data\n\nAnalyze gaps and tradeoffs in existing simulations environment, and develop corresponding Courses of Action (COAs)\n\nCommunicate proposed approaches and findings to all levels of leadership\n\nCollaborate in technical discussions to assist with near- and long-term system planning\n\nPrepare technical reports and conference papers describing findings and future work\n\nWrite test procedures for algorithm evaluation and analysis\n\nManage code quality through version control, automated software builds, and automated unit testing\n\nRequired Skills:\nBachelor’s degree (STEM) and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree\n\n2+ years of experience with MATLAB\n\nCompetent understanding of algorithms and software design patterns\n\nDevelopment experience on Linux (CentOS, RHEL) and Windows\n\nActive DoD Top Secret Clearance\n\nClearly communicates complex ideas and produces high-impact, well-organized presentations in relevant terms for audiences at all levels\n\nDesired Qualifications:\n2+ years of experience in radar system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysis\n\nProactive continuous learner, ideally with public repositories on GitLab, GitHub, etc.\n\nQuality technical writing skills\n\nGood understanding of unit testing in a C++ environment\n\nCompetent understanding of Python\n\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nAn active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
