The Roads Coordinator will coordinate the planning, engineering, construction, and interface activities associated with roadworks across the Airport / Infrastructure / Airfield project. The role will ensure that road construction activities are properly coordinated between design, construction, utilities, drainage, traffic, surveying, QA/QC, and other project disciplines.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nCoordinate roadworks activities across the project with Engineering, Construction, Planning, Utilities, Drainage, Survey, QA/QC, and HSE teams.\n\nReview road design drawings, specifications, profiles, sections, details, and construction requirements.\n\nCoordinate road design interfaces with utilities, drainage, structures, pavements, lighting, landscaping, and other infrastructure works.\n\nMonitor roadwork activities against approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.\n\nCoordinate construction sequencing for earthworks, subgrade, capping, sub-base, base course, asphalt, kerbs, footpaths, and associated works.\n\nCoordinate with Survey teams to verify alignments, levels, profiles, gradients, and road geometry.\n\nMonitor roadwork progress and coordinate with Planning teams to ensure activities remain aligned with the approved schedule.\n\nIdentify construction constraints, interface issues, and potential delays affecting roadworks.\n\nCoordinate resolution of RFIs, Technical Queries, design clarifications, and site issues related to roads.\n\nCoordinate with Utilities teams to ensure underground services are completed and protected before road construction.\n\nCoordinate road crossings, utility corridors, drainage crossings, and interfaces with existing infrastructure.\n\nSupport review of contractor roadwork method statements and construction proposals.\n\nCoordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure required inspections and testing are completed.\n\nMonitor testing requirements for subgrade, fill, compaction, aggregate, asphalt, and pavement layers.\n\nCoordinate material approvals and ensure approved materials are available for construction.\n\nSupport investigation and resolution of roadwork defects, settlement, soft spots, pavement failures, and other construction issues.\n\nCoordinate roadwork changes and ensure approved design revisions are communicated to construction teams.\n\nMaintain roadwork interface registers, action trackers, and coordination records.\n\nParticipate in technical coordination meetings, construction meetings, progress meetings, and site inspections.\n\nCoordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure work fronts are properly planned and managed.\n\nMonitor interfaces between permanent and temporary roadworks and construction access requirements.\n\nSupport the closeout of roadwork punch-list items, inspections, testing, and handover documentation.\n\nAirport / Infrastructure & Airfield Responsibilities\nCoordinate roadworks associated with airport terminals, landside facilities, airside roads, service roads, access roads, parking areas, and external infrastructure.\n\nCoordinate interfaces between airport roads and airfield infrastructure including taxiways, aprons, gates, and operational areas.\n\nEnsure road construction activities consider airport operational constraints, access requirements, and phased construction.\n\nCoordinate roadworks with drainage, utilities, street lighting, traffic systems, signage, barriers, and security infrastructure.\n\nSupport coordination of roads within restricted and operational airport environments.\n\nCoordinate temporary and permanent access arrangements required for construction activities.\n\nSupport roadwork Crossings\n\nTemporary Access Roads\n\nTie-ins to Existing Roads\n\nCoordination & Reporting\nPrepare and maintain roadwork coordination trackers and interface registers.\n\nMonitor progress of roadwork activities and report key issues to the Construction / Project Management team.\n\nCoordinate weekly lookahead activities with contractors and planning teams.\n\nTrack outstanding design information, approvals, materials, inspections, and construction constraints.\n\nProvide regular updates on roadwork progress, risks, interfaces, and required actions.\n\nSupport preparation of weekly and monthly project reports.\n\nMaintain records of roadwork coordination meetings, actions, technical queries, and decisions.\n\nQualifications & Experience\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.\n\nMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in road construction, infrastructure, civil works, or roadwork coordination.\n\nExperience on major infrastructure, airport, airfield, transportation, or large-scale development projects is preferred.\n\nGood understanding of road construction methods, pavement systems, earthworks, drainage, and utilities.\n\nExperience coordinating multidisciplinary roadwork interfaces.\n\nAbility to read and interpret road design drawings, profiles, cross-sections, specifications, and construction details.\n\nExperience with roadwork inspections, testing, and quality requirements.\n\nGood understanding of construction sequencing and project schedules.\n\nExperience working with Contractors, Consultants, Client representatives, and multidisciplinary teams.\n\nKnowledge of relevant road and pavement standards and specifications.\n\nProficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering /
