This position is a remote role, reporting into and collaborating closely with our Kansas City-based roadway group.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nCollaborate often with senior engineers, perform various roadway engineering and design assignments requiring the application of engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity\nUtilize drafting and modeling software, tools, and programs, to develop conceptual and detailed designs\nPerform design calculations including material quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates\nAssist in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects\nAssist in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts\nPerform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate\nWhat Skills & Qualifications You'll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) \n3 years or more of related work experience with road and highway projects\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is essential \nProfessional Engineer (PE) Registration is desirable, but not required \nProficiency in utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation Geopak and/or OpenRoads, is required\nThe ability to communicate and effectively participate as part of an engineering team\n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
