Put your SH&E expertise to work on complex projects.\nParsons has an opening for an environmental health and safety manager position to work on the Cemetery Brook Drain Tunnel Project in Manchester New Hampshire.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nServing as the site safety lead for Cemetery Brook Drain Tunnel (CBDT) project in Manchester NH. Overseeing the contractor and sub-contractors in monitoring safety adherence to all local, state and federal regulations as well as the procedures and programs detailed in the contractor’s health and safety plan (HASP) and security plan.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead the development of the safety culture for the program.\nDevelop and report daily on observations made (both positive and negative) that affected work site safety.\nResponsible for review of Contractor’s submittals including safety plans, permits and other submittals for regulatory compliance and monitor work activity accordingly.\nConduct, attend & report on project safety meetings, toolbox talks, standdowns & other engagements from the aspect of safety.\nInterface, interact with and support RE & CM and support Parsons Corporate Safety Guidelines.\nRespond, report and investigate incidents that may occur 24/7, and ensure process is followed through completion.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelors Degree in Environmental, Health and/or Safety Science or equivalent experience. \n10+ years experience with safety programs on civil construction projects (Tunnel experience preferred)\nTen years' experience implementing, monitoring and managing safety for heavy civil construction programs/projects. \nStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. \nMinimum OSHA 10 required\nOSHA 30 Preferred \nOSHA 40 - Hazardous Waste Preferred \nMSHA Experience Preferred \nAn open mind with the ability to adapt to meet the needs of the work and personnel change. \n What Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nPreferred: Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) certifications (STC, CHST, SMS, ASP, CSP)\nProficiency in project management software and tools. \nExperience with Heavy Civil & Tunnel work.\nPreferred: Training in incident investigations (Tap Root, Latent Cause, Top Set, etc.)\nTunneling experience a plus\nOSHA 30 training required (Maybe 40 Hour including hazardous waste operations)\nFamiliarity with SWPPP and other environmental items\nFamiliarity with MSHA requirements\nExperience supporting/supervising safety professionals. \nExperience in delivery in projects of significant value >$200M\nCertified Safety Professional (CSP). \n Security Clearance Requirement:\nNoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
